The Republic has wrapped… For now.

Last night, The Republic wrapped its final show. After nearly 1,000 players entered our world, this limited time production has officially ended… for now.

We received rave reviews. Players loved the uniquely interactive experience we created, bringing Orlando a form of entertainment the city had never seen before. And there’s no reason to stop there.

The Republic 2.0 is coming in 2016.

Follow us on Facebook and Twitter for the latest updates in the coming months.

Thank you to all our players. Be ready for an even more exciting, engaging, and thrilling experience next year.

The Republic reaches national headlines this week as Playboy published an article all about our experience.

Getting positive press after grand opening as first full weekend approaches

We are astounded by all the amazing reviews we’ve been getting since welcoming reporters in to experience The Republic last Friday for our grand opening celebration.

Today, Orlando Weekly published a fantastic article spotlighting several of our talented performers and singing our praises, stating “there’s nothing else quite like” what we’ve created:

More great reviews have come from local blogs like Ultimate Orlando, Orlando Fun and Food, and Mickey Updates.

Possibly most exciting of all, Broadway World calls The Republic “one of Orlando’s most uniquely entertaining experiences” with hopes that this production is “on its way to challenging, engaging, and entertaining audiences in the most direct ways possible for years to come.”

We’re already getting asked by many of our new fans if we plan to extend our run beyond July 25th. While we certainly have many plans cooking up for the future, getting tickets now is the best and only way to ensure you don’t miss our experience that the press is calling “entertaining,” “innovative,” “mind blowing,” and “one of the most uniquely entertaining nights of your life.”

Your next chance to experience The Republic is tomorrow night – Thursday, June 4. Tickets are available now – but selling fast!

The Republic – Now officially open!

It’s been a long, long road. From initial design and planning to finding a location to building to rehearsing to alpha tests to beta tests… finally, grand opening weekend of The Republic arrived.

Our team was thrilled to see the reactions of excited players as they packed our grand opening night on Saturday across two high-energy shows. And the night before that was press night, filled with press that were equally as intrigued.

Reporters called The Republic “one of the most entertaining experiences I’ve ever had” and “absolutely mind blowing from the moment you enter.”

And now… The Republic is officially open:

Thank you, Fringe, from our now award-winning experience!

The Orlando Fringe Festival has ended and, with it, our “beta test” weekends. Not only did we receive tremendous praise and valuable feedback from our players thus far, but just last night Fringe and TheDailyCity.com even gave us an award!

The Republic won Best Show in the “Bring Your Own Venue” category! And we certainly did bring our own venue, entertaining hundreds of Fringe attendees as they explored our 18,000 square foot space – not your traditional stage show, by any means.

So thank you to all our players from Fringe and Halloween Extreme for helping us work out the bugs as we excitedly head into our official opening weekend!

Fans love The Republic, praising its interactivity and ability to get lost in the story – literally

Last weekend with the Orlando Fringe Festival, we debuted our “beta test” version of The Republic. We went into the weekend aimed at not only entertaining all of our first players to pay for the experience, but also to learn from them to continue to enhance the show before our grand opening at the end of the month.

What we didn’t expect was the sheer level of excitement Fringe attendees had for The Republic, selling out both Fringe weekends before we even finished our second performance. No doubt, as the Orlando Sentinel put it, The Republic has become an instant “phenomenon.”

And when asked for feedback following several of our test performances, our new fans had a whole lot of praise for us:

But, as expected, not all has been perfect in this conflicted society. We assign 30 completely different player roles with each show – and we’ve learned that some roles have played out far better than others. So with the help of feedback we’ve received from our “beta test” players, we’re working hard at improving everything necessary to make the show that much better for the 9 weeks we’ll be running after Fringe ends.

We’ve already added new games, tasks, and quests for players to become engaged with, adding even more layers of interactivity and chances to receive important story elements in new ways. As you might imagine, juggling the individual stories of 30 player simultaneously is a tough task – but one we are quickly perfecting.

We look forward to welcoming one more weekend of test players across five more sold out Fringe performances.

If you want to be among the first to experience The Republic, act fast as we only have two public performances available during our first weekend, on the evening of Saturday May 30th. After that, we will have 5 performances each week until the end of July.

Tickets are available at http://www.TheRepublicGame.com/tickets.php

Get them while you can! If Fringe is any indication of the popularity of this show, dates will be selling out fast.
